Film Transfer
Film was never meant to be an archival format. If stored properly, film only has a life expectancy of approximately 10 years. Preserve your 8mm, Super 8mm, and 16mm film by transferring it to DVD. Transferring film to a digital format will stop further degradation before your film is lost forever.
You can choose to simply convert your film into a digital duplicate. Depending upon the DVD package you select, your film can be edited digitally to remove any unwanted scenes and/or damaged areas. You can elect to combine (known as "mixing") other audio and video material within your film. You also can include any special effects within a scene, select specific transitions between scenes, incorporate additional background music, and add titles throughout your film for truly professional results.
You will be given your own Sundial Video customer account, which will allow you to securely log on to our web site, preview your digitized film, then customize your film and DVD the way you want. (Film editing and DVD authoring options are based on the DVD package selected.) Feel free to contact us if you need to provide us with more information or explanation of how you want your movie to look!
TYPES OF FILM
